2. General comments:
My journey has been filled with challenges, and yet each
one has brought me a piece of the puzzle that allows me to
assist others. I have been single for most of my life, and
have 2 beautiful daughters who are now both working as successful
Pilates instructors. My passion is to help people heal and
find their potential. I do this working with colour and I
make an amazing range of coloured oils and angel sprays which
all have healing properties. I teach various different courses
that hinge around this. Each one is filled with light and
love and because of this the feedback I get is so rewarding.
3. How long have you been on a consciousness journey?
I began my journey in 1990
4. What caused your primary awakening?
It all began when I went through a traumatic divorce. My
husband was a minister and left with my best friend. I had
2 tiny babies and a whole lot of anger - thus began my search
to healing myself. It is so unfortunate that I was only awakened
through trauma - but so it is…
5. Are there many people in your area, city, country who
share and support a similar interest?
South Africa is slowly opening more and more, and it is
so good to be taken seriously at last. When I first started
I remember people's eyes glazing over when I mentioned what
I do. I could almost see them searching for the nearest exit.
In the last few years however people have had a need to look
deeper as things just don't work in the old way any more.
I have run workshops in the UK and find that all in all we
are a lot more switched on and aware than many others. People
here are yearning for balance and fulfillment and this is
creating a wave of acceptance to the kind of work that we
do.
6. Have you had any events or experiences that were particularly
meaningful or challenging for you?
Where to start…. When I teach the Magic of Colour workshop,
I refer to life experiences to better understand colour, and
my favorite colour for many years was turquoise. Now this
ray (as all others) has both challenge aspects as well as
gifts. The challenge of the turquoise shows people who have
had difficult experiences in their past and are deeply sensitive.
The way they deal with this is to build walls of protection
around themselves. This happens both physically and emotionally
(mostly subconscious). This happen to protect yourself from
being hurt again, and unfortunately does not let anyone get
close to you. This is exactly what I did. From a difficult
childhood, where I was rejected - I have created rejection
and betrayal as my lesson in this life. However my soul knew
better and knew that I had to get past these walls in order
to heal. So a few years ago I relocated to a small town and
bought an old farmhouse house. When we began renovations the
house fell down. Literally…. And then to add the cherry to
the cake the builder went insolvent and crippled me financially.
As you can imagine this created a whole lot of anguish and
for months I was distraught, and yet I knew that the bigger
picture was that this event literally helped me to remove
the walls I had built around my heart. Forcing me to feel
all the years of hidden pain and release it. After I had dealt
with this, it felt as if an enormous load had been released
and my life has been on fast forward since then. In hindsight
it was such a gift, and for me the lesson in all of this is
to try and see the gift in any situation and not to get stuck
in victimhood.
7. Are there any books that you would particularly encourage
others to read?
The books that have the biggest impact in my life are: The
Light shall set you free - Norma Milanovich Earth - Barbara
Marciniak The Body Mind Workbook or Your Body speaks your
Mind both by - Debbie Shapiro
8. What are your favorite parts of the online experience
at Children of Light - and how has the site helped you specifically?
I love the channelings and the weather report. They are really
supportive and knowing what is happening on the earth and
how we will be responding to it really helps me and many others
that I share it with to understand - so we don't think we
are finally going mad.
9. Are there things that you feel you need that might
be met or enhanced by other Children of Light members?
Sharing with others is always a wonderful way to expand and
grow. I would also love to be able to run workshops in other
